Brief Biography
I studied classical piano from the age of 7, moving into Jazz and popular music in my late teens. I then completed a 4 year degree in popular music and recording at the University of Salford, majoring in jazz performance and arranging.
After graduation, I worked as pianist, keyboardist and eventually musical director for Holland America Cruise lines. After 5 years at sea, I took the post of musical director for Cirkus Benneweis in Denmark.
Throughout my career, I have also performed extensively in a variety of genres.
I have many years of experience teaching music privately and have also worked as a music lecturer at North Herts College, Ketchikan music school, Alaska, Mid-Cheshire College and City College manchester.
I am also a qualified teacher of the Alexander technique (MSTAT) and have particular interest in it's application to music making. I currently teach students from the Royal Northern College of Music
